DCB Software has amassed a considerable quantity of material related to the Vietnam War and other American History topics. We are converting this material into formats suitable for publishing on the web or delivery on digital media. We intend to post samples of this effort on our website as the works progress. U.S. Army Lessons Learned and Combat After-Action Reports

Vietnam War

In 2004, DCB Software will reproduce and make available on digital media, collections of Combat After Action Reports, Lessons Learned and Senior Officer Debriefings from the war in Vietnam. The collections will be organized both chronologically and by selected units. We are also considering developing a process that would allow customers to select individual reports and documents and make their own customized collection on disk.

Please note that the following lists are under construction. They will be edited,corrected and reorganized as DCB Software acquires and processes the documents. Also note that many of these reports are already available from the NTIS or DTIC in paper or microfilm formats.

Data Sets

DCB Software has acquired several Vietnam War era electronic data sets from the U.S. National Archives. We are in the process of converting the data files from their original formats and translating the data into more understandable information. We may offer both the converted and original versions of the data sets for sale in 2004. In the meantime, we will post samples on this website for testing and feedback.

The Vietnam War generated much official and unofficial terminology. We have extracted some of the "official" terminology from the original source documents and posted the results on this website. There are nearly 3,000 terms in the current online version and more will be added as we process further documents and sources of information. The glossary is accessed by clicking on one of the links in the table above. We have also included a version of the glossary on each Carr's Compendium of the Vietnam War disc.
